Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) 2025
The Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) 2025 offers a unique opportunity to secure funding for the preservation and conservation of important structures.
Announced by Malcolm Noonan TD, Minister of State for Heritage and Electoral Reform, this government grant scheme, funded by the National Built Heritage Service (NBHS), supports essential maintenance projects that help safeguard our architectural heritage.
Eligible projects can receive between €2,500 and €50,000, covering up to 80% of the total costs. Funding is available for a range of structures, including protected buildings, proposed protected buildings, those within Architectural Conservation Areas (ACAs), vernacular buildings, and historic shopfronts.
This year, the application process has been streamlined to allow for earlier project announcements, giving you more time to complete your conservation work in 2025.
Deadline: 4pm on 27th September 2024.
Completed forms should be emailed to archconservationgrants@kerrycoco.ie or delivered to the Planning Department, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Tralee no later than 4pm on 27th September 2024.
