Since 2020 the green area between Dan Spring Road and Castlecountess has been managed for biodiversity with the main region only mowing in Autumn. In 2021, some of the green space was mapped and over 40 different types of wildflowers were identified. This event aims to take a leisurely wander around Castlecountess and Castle Demesne to enjoy, identify and celebrate the variety of wildflowers growing in this residential area. The event will also mark the erection of an sign that provides information on some of the more common wildflowers growing in the area.
